1941 में जन्मे मशहूर चित्रकार मनजीत बावा का आज देहांत हो गया। इस तरह मेरे लिए यह देखना-जानना दुखद है कि अनुनाद पर शोक ज्ञापन का यह क्रम जारी है! मनजीत बावा मिथकीय और आधुनिक संसार के बीच लगातार चलते एक सार्थक टकराव उनके जटिल अन्तर्सम्बन्धो के अद्भुत चितेरे थे। उन्हें अनुनाद की श्रद्धांजलि।

It is great that your blog or blogs are pioneering the cause of art and culture, while this is a diminishing trend and syncronizes with the fashion of the time. I believe and probably blindly believe that ultimately the truth of the time will only be recorded by arts for posterity and for the preservation of ancient of the ancients of human nature. Bawa goes, his creation remains and that is how I remember him with grief.
ReplyDeleteWhile writing this I remember my days alongwith my friends like Prayag Shukla, Vinod Bharadwaj, Girdhar Rathi, Manglesh Dabral while we used to walk the narrow streets of Delhi life. I am expecting something from these friends on Bawa. I do not know whether they surf these blogs or not. Bawa emerging and Bawa leaving for his heavenly abode is a great time and space to remember and preserve.

ReplyDeleteमनजीत बावा को विनम्र श्रंद्धाजली। उनसे जीवन में दो बार मिलने का अवसर आया । प्रभावशाली व्यक्तित्व था। बावा मुझे फाइनआर्ट और एब्स्ट्रैक्ट के बीच सामंजस्य बैठालेने वाले कलाकार लगते थे।
